Since the psych formal’s theme is about “forest”, I thought that it’d be just right to do a tutorial using the color green and brown. The 2 colors that I used are pretty dark and this might be a colored smoky look. All the steps that I mentioned here should make your makeup last for the whole night (except for lipgloss and waterline of course).

If you want an even smokier look, you can use black instead of brown. Click on each picture to enlarge it and for more detailed description.

Prep your face by using moisturizer. This is a MUST. You’ve to make sure that your face is well-moisturized for your foundation to stick to. You can opt to use a foundation primer if you want. In this tutorial I didn’t use foundation primer.

Apply your foundation primer all over your face (that includes your eyelid), neck and chest. Apply your foundation all over your face (yes, incl. your eyelids), neck and chest. If you’re going to do an up-do, you might want to put some foundation on your ears as well.

(update: I forgot to mention that after you apply your liquid/cream foundation, lightly dust your face with powder, esp. if you’ve a combination/oily skin. Again, don’t forget to blend the eyelids)

Make sure you use your fingers and blend your eyelids after you put on your foundation.
